1. The Factory Calendar

I open the production schedule. Every line is full through November 20. Orders placed in July and August are already in production. Orders received in September are queued for November. An October order cannot ship until late December -- after Christmas.

4. Shipping -- The Final Clock

Your product is finished. QC is passed. The container is loaded. Now it sits on a ship for 25-35 days.
Most buyers calculate production time correctly but underestimate shipping. A 28-day sea transit means an order shipped on November 1 arrives on November 29. If customs holds it for 3 days, it is December 2. The retail season is already half over.
